Holi is a spring festival celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and others.Holi is an ancient festival of India also originally known as Holika. There are various Hindu mythological tales attached with the history of Holi, most widespread is the story of Prahlad, Holika and Hiranakshyap.Holi is the festival that marks the arrival of spring in India. Holi is celebrated in various forms all over the india. Holi is celebrated gathering wood for the lighting of the bonfire called Holika at the major crossroads of the city. Then on next day people throw colourful powders or coloured water to each other.  Traditionally, people used to play with Ayurveda herbs in the powdered form (such as neem, turmeric & kumkum) instead of the synthetic colours that are now available in the market.
